Fox News blames out Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg for pretty much anything that goes wrong with any form of transportation, but their latest accusation has many people laughing.
Last week, the Fox panel show Outnumbered discussed Japan Airlines’ new trial program to let people rent clothes during their stay in Japan. According to Conde Nast Traveler, the “Any Wear, Anywhere” initiative is about reducing the weight of planes by making it so that travelers don’t have to pack as much luggage.
“The concept of the service is therefore to provide a travel experience with minimal luggage by offering clothing rentals at the destination, thereby creating environmental value,” the airlines said in a statement. Conde Nast Traveler noted that cutting 10 kilograms (22 pounds) of weight per traveler on a flight from New York City to Tokyo would reduce carbon emissions by 7.5 kilograms (16.5 pounds).

“I mean, I love the idea,” she said, “but, it’s like, we’re missing the point which is that… Thanks, Pete Buttigieg! For messing everything up so that… You know what I mean? Why don’t you just not lose the luggage! How ’bout that!”
The initiative was started by a private Japanese company. Moreover, it’s not about lost luggage. It doesn’t appear to be Buttigieg’s fault and he likely doesn’t have any authority over it.
On Twitter, people mocked Fox News for blaming Buttigieg for baggage lost in Japan.

Clearly, Murdoch’s Media Empire entertainers have been directed to trash Secretary Pete every chance they get. And, now he’s even responsible for JAL’s mishandled baggage woes. Well done Fox, give the kiddies a raise!
